Ramirez v Taylor - The Pro Predictions

Since the inception of the WBO in 1988 as the fourth recognised governing body alongside the WBA, WBC & IBF we’ve had just 4 male undisputed, 4 belt champions. Bernard Hopkins, Jermaine Taylor Terence Crawford & Alexander Usyk hold that rare distinction along with Katie Taylor & Claressa Shields on the female ranks, this Saturday the undefeated pair of Josh Taylor (17-0) & Jose Ramirez (26-0) will clash for all marbles. Each man holds two 140lbs titles a piece with the Ring magazine title also on the line. Here we get the predictions of super lightweight contenders..

Great fight between the two champions, I feel the early rounds will be close with Ramirez being aggressive trying to outwork and push Taylor back to the ropes, I feel Taylor will be taking his time trying to land the more eye catching harder counter punches. Then as they go in to the later rounds I think Josh will take over with his strength and power punching with a clinic performance, possibly even late stoppages for Taylor, if not close points Taylor.

My prediction is that Josh Taylor does the business, I think he’s one of the top p4p boxers in the world & a class above. He’s stepped up everyone he’s gone up in levels, I see Taylor winning a unanimous decision & will then move up to welterweight to win titles there

I think Taylor will do the job on points, I think it’s closer than the bookies have got it and it will be a tough contest for him but I think he’ll do it. Looking forward to it think it will be a cracker!

I think Taylor will win on points, I think it will be a good exciting fight and I’m sure Ramirez will have some good moments but Josh will come through it on top.
