Hollywood Storm

This Sunday afternoon, January 19th, will see the 3rd show from budding promoter Joe Gallagher’s M22 Promotions outfit titled ‘Hollywood Storm’ in Joe’s home town of Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester. That Joe has managed to integrate the role & responsibilities of a promoters life alongside his position of manager & trainer of a number of top level boxers is an achievement in its own right!

Headlining the card is a 50/50 English cruiserweight title bout between defending champion Deion Jumah & Sam Hyde, a stellar undercard accompanies the main event & below we’ll preview each bout

Osh Williams (pro debut)

There’s nothing quite like seeing a boxer make their professional boxing debut whether they’ve got a wealth of amateur experience or have served an apprenticeship on the unlicensed scene, stepping through the ropes as a fully fledged pro is an unrivalled thrill & one that befalls Osh Williams this Sunday. Boxing out of Deffryn Boxing club in Wales & recently linking up with Kieran Farrell in a management capacity it’ll be an exciting watch & a momentous occasion for the likeable Welshman.

Marcus Morrison

Currently in the midst of 6 fight winning streak that includes a career best victory when stopping Emanuele Blandamura on away soil to claim the WBC silver middleweight title in 2019, Morrison at just 26 years of age has already amassed a 25 fight record & ‘Sweet MNM’ will be looking to kick off what could be a pivotal year with a tick over win here.

Mark Jeffers v Ben Thomas

The vacant Central Area Super Middleweight title is up for grabs as undefeated 10-0 Mark Jeffers boxes Ben Thomas in a fight could steal show, with both men having the opportunity to claim a maiden title, it should provide fireworks. At just 21 years old Jeffers has shown a lot promise thus far & is considered by many to be the favourite heading into the bout although Thomas is certainly a live underdog possessing natural height & size advantages.

Deion Jumah v Sam Hyde

In his 2 most recent victories Deion Jumah has claimed the Southern Area & English cruiserweight straps against his 2 toughest assignments by stoppage against Ossie Jerver & Wadi Camacho – a particularly impressive triumph, he holds a 12-0 record whilst across the ring will stand Sam Hyde, a man who has lost only once in a 17 fight career. The sole defeat for Hyde, via stoppage, came against current undefeated British champion Richard Riakporhe due to an horrific swelling above his eye that forced a TKO, that Hyde was ahead on all 3 judges cards at the time of the stoppage & Riakphores accomplishments since goes along way to show the capabilities of Hyde.

On paper this a true pick em fight & a shot at the British title awaits the victor, expect something a bit special here.
