Head vs Heart

If a cheeky flutter on the big fights is your thing then check out our betting preview for this weekend’s boxing, whether it’s playing safe & going with your head or believing in your heart & going for that underdog KO at ridiculous odds we’ve got it covered!

Wilder v Ortiz

Heavyweight KO artist Deontay Wilder returns to the ring to rematch his biggest test to date, barring Tyson Fury, when he faces Cuban Luis Ortis who caused Wilder problems before being stopped in their 1st bout.

Ortiz has hit the gym hard in preparation for this fight and looks in the shape of his career despite being in his late 50’s (officially 40 but questionable) and after the problems he caused Wilder in the original fight i think he’s great value to get the upset and by stoppage at 7/1 (Skybet Priceboost)

But the sensible money would be on a repeat of the 1st match, a Wilder stoppage, but even quicker and in more sensational fashion

Head says Wilder KO rounds 1-6 1/1

Heart says Ortis KO/TKO 7/1 (Skybet Priceboost)

Smith v Ryder

Reigning Super-Middleweight champion Callum Smith faces his mandatory challenger John Ryder in an all British World title showdown.

Ryder is coming into this fight on the back of 4 consecutive KO victories, 2 of which were world title eliminators, and is boxing better than ever but he faces a big big task against reigning world champ Smith.

Smith seems to be getting better and better as he progresses through his career and this explains the short odds (2/5) on him winning by stoppage, theres more value on him winning withing the 1st 3rd of the fight, Smith by stoppage rounds 1-4 4/1 (Skybet Priceboost)

Head says Smith by stoppage 2/5

Heart says Smith KO/TKO rounds 1-4 4/1 (Skybet Priceboost)

Farrell v Dodd

Neither of these fighters have great KO records which seems to point to a points victory one way or another.

Farrell’s the younger of the two which should suggest he has more in the tank and should edge this close encounter but Dodd is more experienced and this could help him come out on top.

Head says Farrell points 4/5

Heart says Dodd points 11/4

Billam-Smith v Glover

Both these guys are big punchers and hopefully this means were in for a treat and a big finish to this fight.

Theres not much splitting either of them on their records and this matches up with the odds being offered with Billam-Smith just about the favourite.

Head says Billam-Smith KO/TKO 5/6

Heart says Glover KO/TKO 3/1

Always gamble responsibly!
