Vasyl Lomachenko v Luke Campbell
Vasyl Lomachenko, questionably the greatest amatuer boxer of all time faces Luke Campbell, Great Britain’s greatest amatuer boxer this weekend, a 3 weight world champion in just 12 professional fights & now unified lightweight world champion facing a two time world title challenger.
This could be Lomachenko’s most difficult fight to date coming up against his tallest challenger in Luke Campbell, could this be a step too far for the Ukrainian.
As well as Campbell’s height advantage he is also a great boxer with plenty of amatuer experience, just like Lomachenko, which makes this an intrigueing battle.
Many believe a Lomachenko KO is a forgone conclusion & the smart money says that too with him being 4/9 for a stoppage in any round.
If you looking for a better return for your money then a Lomachenko KO mid rounds, 5-8, is 2/1 which is a good return.
If you see this a step too far for Loma & believe Campbell’s height and experience is enough to see him victorious then a Campbell points win at 20/1 is far too good to turn down.

Box & mover Hughie Fury comes up against his arguably his biggest name to date in hard hitting Alexander Povetkin, on the Lomachenko v Campbell undercard.
It’s Hughie’s first fight under the Matchroom stable & you’d think he would want to stamp his name down in the heavyweight mixer straight away in order to line up more big fights but going from previous fights, he would happily box to a points win if thats what he can do but coming up against a big punching, KO artist in Povetkin could force him to go on the offensive.
Povetkin is no stranger to British boxing fans having already given Anthony Joshua a run for his money before being stopped & also defeated David Price in emphatic style after being in trouble earlier on in the fight but will his age finally catch up to him? Who knows, only time will tell!
