Andy Ruiz v Anthony Joshua
This weekend brings us easily the biggest fight of the year and maybe decade as Andy Ruiz defends his heavyweight titles against arguably the 2nd biggest name in boxing at present in Anthony Joshua.
As everyone already knows, this is the rematch from the big upset in June when Ruiz destroyed AJ and ripped away his belts in emphatic style!
Theres been plenty of talk and speculation since that fight, was AJ ill? Did he quit? Is Ruiz too quick? Was AJ too big?
And all these questions leave the result of the rematch a tough one to call.
If you think the 1st fight was no fluke them Ruiz by KO at 11/4 is printing money, a no brainer but if you believe some of the rumours about AJ being ill, having an off night, not preparing properly then you can get good value for money on him stopping Ruiz inside the 1st 4 rounds at 4/1.
Theres also a chance AJ could approach this fight like he did the Parker fight and use his boxing skills rather than his strength and stay behind his jab, out of reach, and box his way to a points win which you can back at 4/1
I’m not going to give a final Head v Heart decision until fight day because my mind keeps changing but as things stand, all three of these picks are good value for money with also a good chance of happening.
