As boxing fans we’re always clamouring to discuss potential ‘Fantasy Fights’ in which boxers of different generations & bygone eras are pitted against one another in mythical match ups with the outcome a cause for many a heated debate across the boxing world, one only has to venture through Twitter & merely mention a possible Ali v Tyson clash to drum up impassioned & animated opinions as to which legendary boxer would’ve emerged victorious.
And we’re going to dive right into the thick of it…
Members of SimBoxx will pit their wits against Southwest Boxing Media in a 5 vs 5 fantasy fight tournament, taking inspiration from the recent World Boxing Super Series Legends tournaments, they’ll be using the classic Fight Night Champion PlayStation game to simulate the contests, each team will assemble a stable of combatants one each from the Heavyweights, Light Heavyweights, Middleweights, Welterweights & Lightweights!
Things will get underway Monday 6th April as the all important Draft will take place to allow the teams to be formulated & the verbal jousting to begin, all details can be found on both teams social media channels.
They’ll be plenty of pride at stake & a yet-to-be announced forfeit for the losing team, this is sure to throw up plenty of topical debate, a ton of high quality, daily content to preview each contest.
